Jerry Sisemore, Minister
I was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and was raised on a farm. I wanted to be a veterinarian, but in college I changed my major to Bible. I met my wife, Pam, at Pepperdine University, and we’ve been married 48 years. I graduated from Sunset School of Preaching, and have been a minister and contractor most of my adult life. We’ve lived in California, Hawaii, Russia (where I taught in and was head of the Barnaul Bible Institute), Michigan and Texas. We have two grown children, a son and a daughter.
I believe we are God’s creation (Psalms 139: 13-15), and He alone is worthy and deserves our worship. We were created for one-another relationships (Romans 12:10), whether in worship settings or one-on- one. It is not possible to grow without serving (Galatians 5:13), and we can’t serve without growing. As disciples of Christ, our greatest joy knowing we’re saved and telling what Jesus has done for us (I Peter 1:8-9). We do that by sowing the seed of the gospel (the “Good News”) and modeling a Christ-centered life. Being generous with what God has blessed us with (II Corinthians 9:11), especially our time, is a great barometer of our spiritual journey.
